About Rack

Rack is a free online Word & Quiz game that runs right in your browser. There is nothing to download and no account to create: press Play and you are in. It works on desktop, laptop, tablet and mobile.

A crossword tile game on the classic 15×15 board: seven letters, premium squares, blanks, the 50-point bonus for using all seven. Play a computer opponent or pass one device between up to four people, each rack hidden behind a cover until its owner taps. The referee is a 270,000-word list; the easy and medium computers only play everyday words, so what they put down is something you could have found yourself rather than USQUE, and hard knows the whole list and keeps a balanced rack. After each of your moves the log shows the best play you had, and the end of the game says what share of the available points you took. A seed in the URL deals the same tiles again.
