About Block Puzzle
Drag blocks onto an 8x8 board and fill rows or columns to clear them. Chain clears for combos, empty the board for a bonus, and play the Daily Challenge, where everyone gets the same pieces, to keep your streak.
Block Puzzle runs right in your browser on desktop, tablet and phone: no download, no account, just press Play.
How to play Block Puzzle
- You get three block pieces at a time below an 8x8 board. Drag a piece onto the board to place it; pieces cannot be rotated.
- Fill a whole row or column with blocks and it clears. Rows and columns that fill at the same time clear together.
- When all three pieces are placed, three new ones are dealt.
- The game ends when none of your remaining pieces fits anywhere on the board. Pieces that no longer fit turn grey.
Controls
- Drag a piece with the mouse or your finger and drop it on the board
- On phones the piece floats above your finger so you can see where it lands
- Esc: open or close the menu
- Speaker button: sound on or off
Tips and strategy
- Keep the 3x3 square and the long 1x5 lines in mind: always leave a space where they could fit.
- Clear several lines with one piece. Points grow quickly: 10 for one line, 30 for two, 60 for three, 100 for four.
- Keep clearing on consecutive placements to build a combo; the streak survives two placements without a clear.
- Fill the edges and corners first and keep the middle of the board open.
- Clearing the whole board is worth a 300-point bonus.

How does scoring work in Block Puzzle?+
